Black + White: alternating layers of chocolate + vanilla cake, masked with vanilla buttercream.
Carrot Cake: carrot cake with walnuts, pineapple + coconut, filled and masked with honey-sweet cream cheese icing.
Chocolate Fudge: fudge cake filled with light chocolate truffle cream, masked with chocolate ganache or white buttercream.
Classic Lemon: white sponge cake layered with tangy lemon buttercream; masked with white buttercream.
Classic Mocha: white sponge cake layered with alternating mocha + chocolate buttercream, masked with mocha buttercream + a shiny chocolate glaze.
Classic Vanilla: buttery vanilla sour cream cake masked + filled with white buttercream.
Golden Cake: white sponge layered with fresh strawberries and buttercream with a hint of orange liqueur (strawberries may be substituted with blueberry or raspberry compote). Masked with white buttercream.
Pink Velvet: cocoa spice cake layered + masked with pale pink cream cheese icing.
Vegan Chocolate: rich tasting vegan chocolate cake with no dairy nor eggs, made with spelt flour (Spelt has gluten and is not suitable for a strict gluten-free diet). May be masked with either chocolate or white vegan icing. By special order only, requires 3-weeks' notice.


Chocolate Mousse: Light chocolate mousse alternating with layers of flourless chocolate cake, covered with bittersweet ganache + a cluster of chocolate curls. (made without wheat or gluten)
Chocolate Raspberry Truffle: Three layers of light chocolate cake filled with raspberry buttercream, pureed berries + a rich chocolate truffle cream.
Toasted Almond Meringue: Fresh berries + cream between crunchy layers of almond meringue. (made without wheat or gluten, contains nuts) *only 8” x 12” rectangle available in oversize.
White Chocolate Mousse: Classic sponge cake layered with white chocolate mousse + strawberry filling, covered in white chocolate curls.

Fresh flowers are a lovely addition to any cake. Dufflet recommends Roses, Alstroemeria, Freesia, Iris, Daisies or Gerbera Daisies, Hydrangea, Dendrobium or Cymbidium Orchids, Lilies, Tulips, Mums and Waxed Flowers.

Specify your flower preference when ordering your cake, or ask us to select appropriate seasonal blooms. If you are providing your own flowers, ask your florist to deliver them to us before noon on the day before your event. A fee will be charged for arranging flowers supplied by you or your florist.

Pricing will vary according to seasonal availability plus the size + style of your arrangement.


Edible flowers may be added to our cakes for a touch of elegance or splash of colour. Some edible flowers are wired which means they should not be eaten even though they are made of chocolate paste. Wired flowers should be removed before consuming the cake.

Custom artwork

Simple line-drawings or logos may be recreated for your cake. Please allow a minimum of one week to prepare a quotation for custom decorations upon receipt of your artwork sample.

Custom colours

Personalize your finish or piping accents with naturally tinted buttercreams in pale shades of Yellow, Orange, Pink, Lilac, Purple, Green and Chocolate. Custom matched colours may require non-natural ingredients.

Custom sentiments

Choose Block or Script writing styles for your cake or chocolate plaque inscriptions.

Custom graphics

Adorn your cakes, chocolate plaques or cupcakes with your photos, logos or designs printed on edible paper using food colour inkjet printers (colours may not be identical to original image). Supply us with your high-resolution artwork and photos via email, or deliver photographs to be scanned digitally.

We require a minimum of 1-weeks' notice for single-tiered celebration cakes. Custom orders (cakes not based on a design from our gallery) will require additional notice.. Any changes to orders are required before 12:00 pm with 3-weekdays’ notice.

For delivery, full payment is required upon order. For cakes to be picked-up from one of our cafés a 50% deposit is required with final payment due at pick-up. We accept all major credit cards, debit cards, cheques and cash.

We also accept on-line payments. Once your order is confirmed we will email a link to the Dufflet PayPal account where you can make payment using your credit or debit card - a personal PayPal account is not required if you don't already have one.

For cancellations we require 3-weekdays' notice before 12:00 pm to request a full refund on cancelled orders. Deposits will not be refunded without proper notice.


No matter the size, our cakes are securely boxed for pick-up or delivery. Dufflet refrigerated vehicles deliver Mondays through Saturdays within a delivery window from 9am to 3pm. For a guaranteed delivery time Mondays to Saturdays, or for Sunday deliveries, a courier delivery can be arranged.

Pick-ups can be made during business hours at the Dufflet retail location where you placed your order. Sorry, but retail pick-ups are not available from our head office/bakery on Norseman.

Delivery charges within Metro Toronto start at $50.00. Rates are calculated based on destination address. Our cakes are not suitable for shipping via air or land freight. Cakes being picked up from Dufflet Pastries should be transported in air-conditioned vehicles or refrigerated containers.

For orders requiring delivery, please provide the following venue information:

  • venue name and full address (including intersection) and telephone number
  • venue contact person's name and phone number
  • confirmed delivery hours at venue
  • a visual inspection and an authorized signature is required at delivery
