If you haven't checked out the Dufflet line of
certified gluten-free desserts, you can find a list of them
on our main website. One thing to keep in mind when shopping for gluten-free products is that there is a difference between certified gluten-free, and
items made without gluten in the recipe.
Certification from the
Canadian Celiac Association and the right to display the official logo on the product, is a process that includes testing, licensing and renewal. Dufflet products that bear the CCA logo have passed and continue to pass these tests, and these items are always sold in their
sealed packaging to maintain their official gluten-free status. Items sold
not in their packaging may become contaminated by gluten in the environment.
Dufflet Pastries also makes a wide variety of desserts that don't have wheat or gluten in the recipe for those who are simply cutting down on their gluten intake (and are
not seriously allergic to gluten). These items are marked with a
"made without gluten" symbol on our website
under Fresh Collection (for example, our Baby Truffle mini cake or our Dacquoise cakes and mini cakes)
All three Dufflet locations have
certified gluten-free cupcakes in Devil's Food and Vanilla for $9.00 for a
sealed 4-pack of a single flavour.
You can also find them in the freezer section at your favourite local food emporium (I love that word) if traveling to one of our cafes is not convenient.
